Dr. Sergio Vargas D. joins the Mexican Taekwondo Team at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games qualifier

On April 9 and 10, 2026, Dr. Sergio Vargas D. participated as a physician for the Mexican National Taekwondo Team at the qualifying tournament held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, supporting Mexican athletes during this international competition.

Mexico secured 20 places for the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games: 16 in individual combat, two in mixed teams and two in poomsae, qualifying its entire team. This result highlighted the strength of Mexican taekwondo and the importance of medical support in elite sport.
